When I was a budding New York teenager, I remember going on field trips from school to see plays in "the Village." In our little bit of spare time, we were allowed to go from shop to shop, where beatnik and hippie craftspeople made exotic, abstract-shaped wire & metal jewelry. These designs were inspired by those magical, early hippie experiences.
