Week 1, 2/18/26, Knitting
Beginner: Cast on, knit stitch, start basic scarf
Beginner Tools & Materials: Size 8 or 9 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted (Medium) weight yarn

Advanced: Drop Stitch Scarf
Advanced tools & materials: medium weight yarn, size 8 or 9 needles

Week 2, 2/25/26, Knitting
Beginner: purl stitch, Pattern Sampler Scarf, adding new yarn, casting off
Beginner Tools & Materials: Size 8, 9 or 10 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted weight yarn
Advanced: Cable Scarf

Advanced tools & materials: Medium weight yarn, Size 7 or 8 needles

Week 6, 3/25/26, Knitting, Barley Knit Hat

Tools & Materials Needed: medium weight yarn, size 7 or 8, 16” circular needle, and
4 or 5 same-size double pointed needles.

Week 7, 4/1/26, Basic Sashiko, Japanese Embroidery
Tools & Materials Needed: Sashiko Kit, which includes fabric with printed patterns, thread and needles. You can buy the kit I'll be using at the link below.

Tools & Materials Needed: Jeans, Sashiko or embroidery thread, Sashiko or embroidery needle.

Week 9, 4/22/26, Crochet
Beginner: Basic crochet stitches: Slip knot, chaining, single crochet
Single Crochet Purse
Tools & Materials Needed for purse: Medium weight/worsted weight yarn, size G, H,  or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package. 1 skein needed for purse & 1” button.

Advanced: Crocheted Lantern

Advanced Tools & Materials Needed: Medium weight yarn with appropriate crochet hook

Beginner:
More Basic Crochet stitches: half double, double & triple crochet
Multi-Stitch Scarf
Beginner Tools & Materials Needed: 2 skeins Medium weight/worsted weight yarn, size G, H,  or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package.

Advanced: Fillet Crochet

Advanced Tools & Materials Needed: Medium weight yarn with appropriate crochet hook

 

Week 11, 5/6/26,  Crochet
Beginner: Basic crochet hat in the round
Beginner Tools & Materials Needed: Medium weight/worsted weight yarn, size G, H,  or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package. 1 skein needed for hat.

Advanced: TBD

Tools & Materials: Plain cotton fabric, sewing needle, thread, scissors, ruler

Week 16, 6/10/26, Coiled Rope Basket
