Class time & Location: Wednesdays, 1:30-4:15pm

Week 1, 9/2/26, Knitting
Beginner: Cast on, knit stitch, start basic scarf
Beginner Tools & Materials: Size 8 or 9 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted (Medium) weight yarn

Advanced: Waffle Stitch from Pattern Sampler Scarf and Belgian Waffle Stitch
Advanced tools & materials: medium weight yarn, size 8 or 9 needles

Week 2, 9/9/26, Knitting
Beginner: purl stitch, Pattern Sampler Scarf, adding new yarn, casting off
Advanced: Simple Seed Stitch, Moss Stitch & Irish Moss Stitch from Pattern Sampler Scarf.

Tools & Materials: Size 7, 8, 9 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted/medium/#4 weight yarn

Week 3, 9/16/26, Knitting, Feather & Fan Stitch

Tools & materials: Size 7, 8, or 9 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted weight yarn

Week 4, 9/23/26, Knitting, Leaf Pattern Scarf, start Knit Hat on circular needles
Tools & Materials Needed for leaf pattern: 2 skeins medium weight yarn, size 8 or 9 regular knitting needles.

For hat: 1 skein medium-weight yarn; 16", size 8 or 9 circular needle & 4 or 5 same-size double-pointed needles.

Week 5, 9/30/26, Knitting, Continue Basic Hat Made on Circular Needles

Tools & Materials Needed: 3 colors of medium weight yarn, size 8 or 9, 16” circular needle, 4 or 5 same-size double pointed needles.

Week 6, 10/7/26, Cross Stitch, Counted Cross Stitch, Create your own pattern
Tools & Materials Needed: Embroidery or cross stitch thread, cross stitch fabric, embroidery needle, graph paper & pencil.

Week 7, 10/14/26, Sashiko Embroidery & Repairs

Tools & Materials Needed: Woven Fabric, embroidery thread, embroidery needle, jeans or other woven fabric item you want to patch and repair.

Week 8, 10/21/26, Crochet
Beginner: Basic crochet stitches: Slip knot, chaining, single crochet

Single Crochet Purse
Tools & Materials Needed for purse: Medium weight/worsted weight yarn, size G, H, or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package. 1 skein needed for purse & 1” button.

Advanced: Crochet Borders

Advanced Tools & Materials Needed: any yarn with appropriate crochet hook

Week 9, 10/28/26, Crochet
Beginner: More Basic Crochet stitches: half double, double & triple crochet

Multi-Stitch Scarf
Beginner Tools & Materials Needed: 2 skeins Medium weight/worsted weight yarn, size G, H, or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package.

Advanced: Bobble Stitch Crochet Pattern

Advanced Tools & Materials Needed: Medium weight yarn with appropriate crochet hook

Week 10, 11/4/26, Crochet
Everyone: Basic crochet hat in the round
Beginner Tools & Materials Needed: Medium weight/worsted weight yarn, size G, H, or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package. 1 skein needed for hat.

Week 11, 11/11/26, NO CLASS, VETERAN'S DAY

Week 13, 11/25/26, Crochet: Lace & Spirals Scarf

Week 15, 12/9/26, Beginning Card/Tablet Weaving (Make your own cards)
