Week 1, 6/22/22, Knitting

Beginner: Cast on, knit stitch, start plain knit scarf
Advanced: Cable Stitch Samples
Tools & materials: Size 8, 9 or 10 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted weight yarn
Week 2, 6/29/22, Knitting
Beginner: purl stitch, pattern sampler scarf
Advanced: Tulip pattern square
Tools & materials: Size 8, 9 or 10 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted weight yarn
Week 3, 7/6/22, Knitting
Beginner: Knitting in the Round: Basic hat
Advanced: Knit Tam/Beret
Tools & materials: Size 8, 9 or 10 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted weight yarn
Advanced: Size 8, 16” circular needles, 5 size 8 double-pointed needles
Week 4, 7/13/22, Crochet
Beginner: Basic stitches, Single Crochet Purse, Mixed Stitches Scarf
Advanced: More Crocheted flowers from book: using diagrams AND words: fig leaf & others
Tools & Materials:
For Purse: Worsted weight yarn, G, H, or I crochet hook, 1” button
For Scarf: 2 skeins of worsted weight yarn, H, I or J crochet hook
Advanced: any yarn and hook that work together
Week 5, 7/20/22, CrochetBeginner: More Basic stitches: double crochet, half double crochet, triple crochet
Advanced: Crochet Bucket Hat

Crochet hook: G, H or I
Any worsted weight cotton yarn such as Sugar n’ Cream or Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton. It uses almost all of a 4oz ball of Lily Sugar'n Cream cotton yarn
- Stitch marker. I like to mark the first stitch of my rounds to keep track of the pattern.
- Yarn needle
- Beginner: Worsted weight yarn, G, H, or I crochet hook

Advanced: Crochet borders
