Week 1, 1/3/24, Knitting

Beginner: Cast on, knit stitch, start basic scarf
Beginner Tools & Materials: Size 8 or 9 knitting needles, 2 skeins medium/worsted weight yarn

Advanced: Textured Circles

Advanced tools & materials: Size 8 or 9 knitting needles, 2 skeins medium/worsted weight yarn

Week 2, 1/10/24, Knitting
Beginner: Purl stitch, Pattern Sampler Scarf
Beginner Tools & Materials: Size 8, 9 or 10 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted weight yarn
Advanced: Pattern Sampler Stitches

Advanced tools & materials: Size 8, 9 or 10 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted weight yarn

Week 3, 1/17/24, Knitting
Everyone: fixing knitting mistakes, continuation of pattern sampler, purling & casting one & off review

Tools & Materials Needed: 1 skein Medium/Worsted weight yarn, size 8 or 9 knitting needles

Week 4, 1/24/24, Crochet

Beginner: Basic Crochet stitches: Slip knot, chain stitch, single crochet – Single Crochet Purse

Advanced: Magic circle, Crochet heart, Mattress stitch, crochet pumpkin

Tools & Materials: Medium/worsted weight yarn, size G, H, or I crochet hook

Week 5, 1/31/24, Crochet

Beginner: More Basic Crochet stitches: half double, double & triple crochet, Multi-Stitch Scarf, Crochet pattern reading

Beginner Tools & Materials Needed: 2 skeins medium/worsted weight yarn, size G, H, or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package.

Advanced: Herringbone Single Crochet Stitch Scarf & Making a Gauge Swatch

Advanced Tools & Materials Needed:

To Make Cowl: 1 skein of Lion Brand Color Made Easy, or another similar bulky-weight yarn

Size L – 8.0mm crochet hook or size to create proper gauge

Large yarn needle

To just practice the herringbone stitch: Any medium weight yarn and corresponding crochet hook.
